The Dance

The Dance is a contemporary dance piece performed by Erna Ómarsdóttir, a well-known dancer working in Europe. This film communicates the message that a butterfly with broken wings can never truly be free.

Klikk Productions in collaboration with Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir produced four artistic short films in relation to UNIFEM’s fundraising – The Butterfly Week in Iceland 2008. The films deal in an artistic way with the various manifestations of gender-based violence endured by women and girls in many parts of the world.
